I was never a sporty person, though I wish some of my future kids would be.
The only ones I knew (past tense because those "skills" have been repressed longer than I can remember) how to play were badminton and swimming--both were forcibly imposed by my parents just to get me outdoors on summer breaks. But a sport that I really find cool ("cool": looks fun but I don't really know the rules) is football. There's something so attractive about the jersey top uniforms of international football teams (e.g. Brazil). So when I saw this watermelon-print cropped top from Romwe, I didn't think twice of spending my blogger points for it. It looks like one of those shirts that football players wear, just more girly and summer-y and I just feel extra sporty today.

Since I'm not comfortable with belly appearances, I paired the cropped top with high-waisted leggings from Ohkayganda Boutique. I believe that dressing up is like cooking. You have to know what ingredients and mixtures work for you to achieve a pleasing blend. In this case, the cropped top + high-waist bottom combo perfects balance and compensation.

Of course, this leopard print wristwatch from Born Pretty Store is a favorite because it could stand out and blend in at the same time. It goes true with this handbag from Mindanao. Both have patterns quite dissimilar with the rest of the outfit but when put together, they all look like they were made to belong there.

Where The Palm Trees Grow

Hello everyone!
It's our favorite time of the year again! We won't really mind getting tan because sun-kissed skin and beach trips are going to be a hit this season of vacation. You are extremely lucky, my loves, to still experience summer break because the least I can do now is to just wear it on my dress. Today is the first day of the season of clinical clerkship--my last year in med school, how time flew! I could only hope that the 365 days will fly by just as fast.

Here's an easy-breezy look to handle a typical, scorching summer day.
This shirt dress from Aupie is perfect for lazy days when you don't want to spend much time ransacking your closet for comfy summer combinations. It's lightweight and not so demanding in terms of accessories because the canvas print pretty much stands on its own. If only I could silently disappear during duty hours and enter the relaxing world of colorful birds and palm trees like the one on this dress...

Today's also What, When and Wearabouts' (this blog's) 3rd anniversary! Happy birthday to my blogger self and thank goodness for community rotations!

Greetings from Igbaras,

My Couple Crush

I cannot get over these two.

I've known Patty Laurel because she was Atom Araullo's Breakfast co-host and long-time girlfriend. The relationship ended roughly four years ago and you can only imagine how happy I was to finally have my chance with Atom. Joking!

It's true that things end to give way for better ones to come.
So while Atom remains single as he waits for me to complete my M.D. degree (excuse my delusions), Patty found happy ending with her third grade schoolmate, Patrick Filart. Patricia and Patrick - hence, "The Pats". I have been a fan of this tandem since their boyfriend-girlfriend days which might have also been one of the reasons why this video reached thousands of hits. Practically because I watch it almost everyday. Not just once, twice or thrice, but until my eyes hurt and until I feel a little ashamed of myself for being so obsessed with a love story that won't really be the same as mine. I know that someday I will have my own version of beautiful white dresses and wonderful beginnings but I just appreciate how this reminds me to seek God first because in time, my prayers will be answered completely and bountifully.

Enjoy, be inspired and fall in love as you watch!

I pray that each of you, dear single friends and readers, will find God's "best and perfect gift" in the person of that someone whom you will spend the rest of your life with. Don't forget that I need your prayers as well! :)
